The Flu

I had a thought, that happens sometimes.

The flu, regular, ever-changing flu kills 36,000 people per year. That’s a lot.

The H1N1 flu recently popular in the news has killed a hand full of people and that is bad, but it does come in handy as a way to progress an agenda our government and the UN have in common. Both would like to legitimize and expand their power in the lives of those over whom they claim to hold dominion.

It spooks me to say, but the mistrust is in me. If the administration says the new flu is big and bad, and on the way, and we, as consumers of what the state tells us, believe them, then we are put into a survival mode. Once in that mode, we put our health and safety into their hands.

Given also the government’s seeming inability to do anything right in the last 20 years, it would behoove them to chalk up a win.

So, there’s a boogie man, and all the government has to do is say that they quashed it when it peters out. They win, and we the people show our appreciation by ignoring all the corruption and lying and moral turpitude that stinks up the halls of power.

Gah! It bugs me that the people who are supposed to be leading are not worthy of my trust.
